Inspired by nature

with her rain and wind mud usually puts great effort into ruining spectacular dresses. But this Russian artist is putting them side by side in her series “Fashion & Nature”. Part of her “1 + 1” project, it juxtaposes dresses straight from the walkway with grand vistas of nature. And while the designers’ inspiration is largely unknown, the resemblance is uncanny. A sort of macro level camouflage meant for giants if you will.

Liliya Hudyakova works with photo-composition. “1 + 1” is the over-arching theme of her works, comparing people to stuff ranging from space to flowers. Her “Fashion And [Word]” series is probably the biggest, doing such interesting comparisons like Beyonce’s dress and king Ludwig’s bedroom in Linderhoff Castle, Bavaria.

And here’s people think themselves smart for comparing Rihanna’s dress with an omelet.
